Wickersham crews forming a reinforced concrete wall at dusk beside a river, with a crane overhead.

Building with concrete since 1906.

Wickersham is a general contractor in Lancaster, PA, building plants, treatment facilities and public buildings across Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.

We build the hard parts ourselves.

Structural concrete, process piping, rigging and carpentry are done by our own crews. That’s work many general contractors hand off, and keeping it in-house is how we hold quality, schedule and cost.

Proven on the job. Asked back.

  • “From the day Wickersham was awarded the contract to completion, it was evident that we had a premier contractor building our wastewater treatment plant.”

    David I. Fenicle

    Administrator, Manheim Borough Authority

  • “The contract with Wickersham ended up having less than 1% of the contract value in change orders, and nearly all the change orders were driven by Owner request upgrades.”

    Andrew T. Prosser, PE

    Regional Director, Artesian Water Company

  • “Wickersham is the first in mind when contractor work comes up. Your company always comes through for my services when needed and always performs the work to our specifications flawlessly.”

    Kevin Fuhrman

    Johnson & Johnson

  • “Wickersham’s team on this project was largely responsible for maintaining the schedule despite challenges that could have impacted the end date.”

    Robert J. De Fiore

Managing Director of Construction, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts

  • “Since our ahead-of-schedule completion of the manufacturing facility, our operating company Pleasant Valley Modular Homes, Inc. was able to produce and ship nearly twice as many homes as was originally projected.”

Four generations of builders since 1906.

Colonel John H. Wickersham came home to Lancaster in 1906 to build with reinforced concrete. Today the company is in its fourth generation of non-family management, and many of our people stay 20 years or more.
